Introduction
Welcome to The Royal College of Business & Economics (RCBE). By enrolling in our programs or using our services, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms are designed to ensure a clear understanding of our responsibilities as an institution and your responsibilities as a participant in our programs.
General Terms
Mission and Purpose:
RCBE is committed to equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to address global challenges and opportunities, with a focus on Africa and beyond. Our offerings include Online Programs, Executive Education, Social Impact Initiatives, MBA, and PhD programs.
Program Admission:
Admission to any RCBE program is contingent on meeting the eligibility criteria outlined for that specific program. Applicants must submit all required documentation by specified deadlines.
Program Changes:
RCBE reserves the right to modify or cancel programs, curricula, fees, schedules, or other elements at its discretion. Participants will be notified promptly of any significant changes
Fees and Payments:
Fees for each program are stated in the respective program guidelines.
Payments must be made according to the specified schedule. Late or
incomplete payments may result in penalties or withdrawal from the
program.
Refund Policy:
The enrollment fee is non-refundable, except when the Academy decides not to grant the student a place in the relevant course. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Academy. Refunds for tuition fees are processed based on the following schedule:
- 30 days or more before the course start date: A full refund (100% of the tuition fee) will be issued.
- 14-29 days before the course start date: 80% of the tuition fee will be refunded.
- Less than 14 days before the course start date: 60% of the tuition fee will be refunded.
- Once a student has commenced a program, there will be No refund.
Use of Materials:
All educational materials provided by RCBE are for personal use only and may not be redistributed, reproduced, or shared without explicit permission.
Participant Conduct
Code of Conduct:
Participants are expected to adhere to RCBE’s Code of Conduct, which
emphasizes professionalism, mutual respect, and integrity.
Harassment, plagiarism, cheating, or any unethical behavior will result
in disciplinary actions.
Attendance:
Regular attendance is required for all on-site and virtual sessions. Participants must adhere to attendance policies set for their respective programs.
Intellectual Property
Ownership of Work:
All intellectual property developed by RCBE, including course content
and materials, remains the sole property of RCBE unless explicitly
agreed otherwise.
Participants retain ownership of work they independently create but
grant RCBE the right to showcase exemplary projects for institutional
purposes
Liability
Limitations of Liability:
RCBE is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential
damages arising from program participation.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet technical
requirements for online programs and maintain backups of submitted
work.
Data Privacy
Data Use
By enrolling in RCBE programs, participants consent to the collection and use of their personal information for academic and administrative purposes, in line with RCBE’s Privacy Policy
Dispute Resolution
Governing Law:
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Nigeria & international education standards
Conflict Resolution:
Any disputes arising under these terms will be resolved through mediation. If mediation fails, parties may proceed to arbitration in accordance with specific arbitration rules.
Additional Program-Specific Terms
Online Programs:
Participants in online programs must ensure reliable internet access. RCBE is not responsible for disruptions caused by technical issues on the participant’s side.
Executive Education:
Executive Education programs cater to industry professionals and are structured around case studies, projects, and discussions. Active participation is mandatory.
Social Impact Initiatives:
Participants in these programs must commit to ethical practices and adhere to project-specific guidelines provided by RCBE and partner organizations.
MBA and PhD Programs:
Research work submitted during MBA and PhD programs, of RCBE and partner organizations, must comply with academic integrity standards.
Acceptance
By enrolling in a program or utilizing RCBE’s resources, participants acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
